Hey guys welcome back to my channel and in today's video i am collabing with beauty exchange they are a beauty supply store 25 locations across Florida , Georgia and Ohio and they specialize in top beauty brands at unbeatable low prices so if you guys are interested in how i slayed this super beautiful wig then just keep on watching.
Alrighty guys so i'm so excited to show you how i slayed this wig so let's just jump right into it in the packaging came a wig cap beautiful lashes and a double ended edge brush to slay those edges this is what the wig came in this is how it is packaged so i'm just showing you guys what it looks like so you know what to expect but this unit is their Bobbi Boss Bobbi lace collection premium synthetic wig it is an ear-to-ear hd lace front with a 4.5 deep lace part it is in the style mlf 564 bayley in the color #F4/27 and it is safe for heat styling.
So they make sure that the wig is perfectly packaged ensuring that the hair doesn't get corrupted in any way and this is what the hair looks like fresh out of the packaging the curls are beautiful bouncy and voluminous this is what the lace looks like and i'm just showing you guys what the inside looks like so it comes with a 4.5 part with a little bit of lace room to work with on the hairline area it also is constructed with two combs on each side as well as a comb on the back with also elastic bands to adjust it onto your head to make sure that it is secured and not going anywhere.
To get a close up this is what the color looks like the color is beautiful the curls are awesome it comes with edges as well and the texture of the hair is really soft it is easy to manage i can run my fingers through it without any issues or problems and now i'm going to throw it on a dome so i can show you guys what it looks like show you the curls and show you a close-up of what the hairline is looking like so they give you a little bit of room on the hairline area and here i'm just showing you that there is minimal shedding when you use a wide tooth comb to detangle it.
But here i'm just showing you the ear to ear lace area where it shows you how much lace you are able to work with and now we're going to jump into installing the wig so this is what i am working with i want the front of the hair where the part will be to be as flat as possible so i'm going to go in with a spray bottle and spray down my hair with some water and just mold it into place i'm going to brush that down making sure that my curls are flat as well as making sure that the part where the wig will be and the part of where my hair is is lined up correctly and even making sure that my part is straight so that the wig can lay as flat as possible and then once i do that i'm going to go in with some eco styler gel and i'm just going to gel that down to smooth out all the curls and bumps to ensure that my hair is laid before i apply the wig cap.
So i'm going to go in with that wig cap that they sent me in the packaging and i'm going to apply that onto my head in today's install i'm not doing the bald cap method mainly because i'm not using actual lace glue i'm just using gots to be gel so i don't have to take the extra precautions to protect my edges so once i do that i'm going to take like a dime size amount of that got to be gel and i'm going to apply that on my edges just to get rid of any flyaways i'm going to go in with that edge brush that they sent me and just make sure that my hair and edges are smoothed back into the wig cap and then once i do that i'm going to go in with my blow dryer on a cool setting on low heat and i am going to blow dry that until it is nice and dry and slicked back and then once i do that i'm gonna go in with the wig and i'm just just gonna try it on just to get a feel for how it's gonna lay how it's gonna sit on my head so i know where i can apply the glue the gots to be gel to be exact and all of that good stuff.
Once i do that i'm just gonna play with it see how i like it you know flip it around comb it out a bit and then once i do that i'm gonna go in and add makeup on my wig cap and on my wig like the actual lace part of the wig so i'm gonna go in with a foundation that is closest to my complexion it is a liquid foundation and i'm gonna go in with a makeup brush and i'm just gonna simply apply the makeup onto my wig cap just so that the lace and the wig cap are matching and it looks seamless and it looks natural
Alrighty so now it is time to lay this wig so what i'm doing here is i'm just ensuring that the part of the wig is lined up with the part of my hair making sure that it is in the middle of my head because it is a middle part and i'm going to go in with my gots to be gel and i'm going to put one thick layer of this gel along my hairline when i tried on the wig earlier i already measured it out so i know where the glue is supposed to go so once i do that i am going to dry it down for about five to ten minutes is how long it takes just until it gets tacky i'm doing that on cool heat on a low setting and i am doing the tacky test so you just want to make sure that it is nice and sticky not too dry down but not too wet and then i'm going to pull it down on the glue so i'm going to make sure the hairline lines up with the front of that layer of glue and then once i do that i'm going to go in with a tail comb and i am just going to press that lace into the skin making sure that it is nice and melted.
Once i'm done with that i'm going to brush all my hair back make sure that all the flyaways are out of the way and i'm going to go in with my elastic band now the elastic band method will make sure that your lace is laid and melted into the skin trust me try it it really changes the game for your lace wigs so i'm going to tie that down not too tight to the point you get a headache but tight enough so that it's not really moving and you're going to tie that down for 10 minutes after 10 minutes it should be nice and melted and ready i like to go in with a blow dryer just for about a minute or two out of that 10 minutes just to speed up the process help it melt down a little better but once the timing is done you're going to take it off and now it is time to cut off the lace so to cut the lace i like to go in sections so i'm going to go with my eyebrow scissors and i'm just going to cut it into sections just so that it is easier on me and that i don't mess up.
So once i'm done with that i like to cut it with an eyebrow razor because it gives it a jagged look and not just a straight line like how scissors do so once i do that it looks like i'm going fast but trust me i am taking my time because i have cut myself before so be careful if you try this all right once i do that i like to go back and forth with the razor and the scissors when i use the scissors i cut in a jig jag motion just so that it's not cutting in just a straight line and then once i'm done with that there are some pieces of the lace that did not get to lay down so i like to go in with my guts to be glued like my gots to be glue freeze spray and spray down those little pieces that did not get to lay down.
So this is really just going to melt it down trust me guys give it a try once i do this i'm going to go back in with my elastic band tie it down for 10 minutes and then after 10 minutes it should be lay slayed and on fleek trust me once you take it off there might be a little bit of white residue from the gots to be spray so you just want to go in with a little wet wipe with some water on it and wipe a little bit of that down once i'm done with that i'm going to start styling the hair the wig already came pre-curled and voluminous so there's not much that i had to do here i just had to play with it and frame it around my face um i'm gonna go in with my makeup and a little brush and just touch up any parts of the lace that aren't really matching my skin too well
And then once i'm done with that i'm gonna stand up and show you guys how long the hair looks on me so for reference i am 5'8 pretty tall so this is how long it goes all the way down to my butt and i wanted the part to be a little bit more flat it was a little too voluminous for my preference so i'm going to go with my she is bomb wax stick and some heat protector heat protector and i'm just going to spray that on that part where the heat will go i'm going to go with my hot comb the back of the hot comb and just press it down to try to get it as flat as i possibly can once i'm done with that i'm just going to define that part a little bit with that same makeup brush and kind of blend it out with my hot comb and then i'm going to comb it through frame it around my face see how i'm liking it see how i'm loving it and this is pretty much the end of this look.
I think that this hair is so beautiful the curls are voluminous they give me body yadi yadi and i love it so thank you beauty exchange for this collaboration if you want to find a location near you just go to mybeautyexchange.com and check them out also be sure to follow them on Instagram @beautyexchange and check out their website to see all the different wig units they have they have such a wide collection at such an affordable price but i hope you guys enjoyed today's video be sure to give this video a thumbs up comment down below if you have any questions and subscribe to my channel for more and i'll see you guys in my next video peace out!.
